A Russian national has been deported from Vietnam after being convicted of disturbing public order for performing reckless motorcycle stunts on public roads in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Police announced last week that they had worked with relevant agencies to carry out the deportation of Nikitina Iuliia, born in 1991.

According to a court verdict issued on July 24 by the People's Court of Region 2 in Khanh Hoa, Nikitina committed multiple traffic violations in Cam Lam Commune and Southern Cam Ranh Commune between January and June 2025.

She repeatedly rode a Yamaha R15 motorcycle while kneeling on the seat without any protective gear on public roads. The stunt videos were recorded, edited, and shared on social media, where they drew significant viewership and sparked widespread public concern.

The court found her guilty under Clause 1, Article 318 of the Criminal Code. She was fined 30 million Vietnamese dong (approximately US$1,150) and ordered to be deported from the country.

On September 15, the Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency under Khanh Hoa Provincial Police coordinated with Cam Ranh International Airport Police and other units to execute the deportation in accordance with the court's ruling.

The case serves as a reminder that traffic safety violations — especially those filmed and shared on social media — can carry serious legal consequences beyond simple fines. Vietnamese authorities have also urged foreign visitors to follow local laws, respect traffic regulations, and help maintain public order.
